Monday sees the launch of a brand new science, technology, engineering and maths club at Priestlands! STEM clubs offer a valuable way to inspire students in these disciplines through activities that we are not always able to offer in the classroom. It also gives teachers a really good opportunity to collaborate and share activities. The STEM club at Priestlands is being run by the head of design and technology, a science teacher, a science technician and a maths teacher.
It will be open to year 7 initially and it is hoped that the students involved make a regular commitment so we can tackle more and more ambitious projects as time goes on.
We will keep you posted!
